English and Basketball 
The English and Basketball Program is a cooperative effort between the Boston School of Modern Languages and top basketball camps in the Boston Area. The partners were selected based on their outstanding sports credentials as well as the infrastructure to support foreign students.
The program has four components:
- Two weeks of Intensive English at BSML
- Two weeks of Intensive Basketball with American and Foreign Students
- Housing and Local Transportation
- Scheduled activities with other international students
The program begins with two weeks of Intensive English which consists of 2 weeks of English classes (six classes per day, five days per week) that includes electives geared toward the sports enthusiast. This is followed by two weeks of Intensive Basketball Camp Instruction with a mixture of American and Foreign students, usually between the ages of 14 - 17. Instruction takes place at a variety of venues, but will include the Boston Celtics Official Training Center and Basketball City. Generally, instruction and practice sessions run from 9 AM to 4PM daily. Additional activities can be arranged for weekends that include team competition.
Price: All inclusive price is $4,050 The package includes:
- Two weeks of Intensive Basketball Camp
- Two weeks of Intensive English
- Local transportation via commuter and subway passes plus airport transfers
- Two All Star Games at the Boston Garden
- Official Basketball Jersey
- Personal Appearance by a Boston Celtics current or former player
- Housing with American Host Family
- Tuition and study materials for ESL
- Scheduled Activities with International Students
- Registration and Housing fees
The camps run during July 2011
- Week #1- July 11-15: Boston Celtics Camp at Basketball City
- Week #2-July 18-22: Boston Celtics Basketball Camp at Waltham Practice Facility
The program sells out each year so book early. $800 deposit required by April 15th.
